Life, Death and Everything in Between
Like many writers, I decided to take a summer hiatus on writing to take stock of where the newsletter was going, but things didn't go to plan...
In short, my father died at the beginning of September. It’s been a difficult and stressful time, as you can imagine, and I pressed pause on pretty much everything else in life as I helped my Dad in his final weeks, organised a funeral and moved everything out of what was my childhood home. Now I’m sorting out the administration. Most organisations have been easy to deal with, some are hopeless to the point of cruelty.
None of this is really conducive to good thinking, so I’m going to take my time in carving out that new direction. I’ll be starting up again in a couple of weeks but publishing at fortnightly intervals, at least until I’m fully back up to speed.
I’ll also be working on a separate preventive health newsletter. Preventive health is a subject that I’ve wanted to write on for some time and is currently massively underserved by both governments and healthcare systems.
I hope that you’ll stick with me as I find my feet again.
With best wishes
Pete
